I'm having a bit of a love-hate relationship with this.
I love the idea that the squares came from all around the world. England! Wales! Italy! Belgium!
Okay, really, just Europe and North America. But still. It's much, much more "international" than I've had in a while.
Unless you count our trip to the new Trader Joe's last weekend. Oh, and the Korean grocery store.
But the crazy colors, I'm not so sure I'm fond of. And the fact that two women dropped out without telling the rest of us: not cool. They received squares and didn't send, which I think is just plain deceitful. It also took much longer than was originally stated for everyone to make/send squares.
I don't like projects
that loom over me. I like to plan something and get it done.
I'm still really glad I participated, because this afghan is unlike anything I have ever made or would ever make. I'm thinking that if we have a guest bedroom in our new house, this might go on a twin bed. It'll be a fun conversation piece!
