"If the God you believe in as an idea doesn’t start showing up in what happens to you in your own life, you have as much cause for concern as if the God you don’t believe in as an idea does start showing up. It is absolutely crucial, therefore, to keep in constant touch with what is going on in your own life’s story and to pay close attention to what is going on in the stories of others’ lives. If God is present anywhere, it is in those stories that God is present. If God is not present in those stories, then they are scarcely worth telling." ~ Frederick Buechner

A Pumpkin Patch Day

The sun finally came out to give us a gorgeous autumn day,
so we headed to Liberty Ridge Farm for a pumpkin patch day.
We're going to miss these hills!
N is a great flosser. He even gets stickers from the dentist
because they like how he takes care of his teeth.
B was so excited about the wagon.
He also nodded in approval at his first bite of apple cider doughnut.
Mama and Little B
Same spot last year :~)
Lots of giggles
Trying it out for himself
Oh, no, Mama! We left something behind!
Attempting to get the stray boot back on
Oh! Piggy!
Chickens!
Boot clearly forgotten
"Miners' Chute"
B decided once was enough. He didn't want to do it again.
Holding hands with his papa
"Air-pey!" (airplane)
Ooooh!
Look at me, Mama!
So big!
What's that, Mama?
Oh, "tac-tuh"! (tractor)

Such a happy boy!

All the fresh farm air did his appetite good.
He ate an enormous dinner and then went to bed without a peep.
