"If the God you believe in as an idea doesn’t start showing up in what happens to you in your own life, you have as much cause for concern as if the God you don’t believe in as an idea does start showing up. It is absolutely crucial, therefore, to keep in constant touch with what is going on in your own life’s story and to pay close attention to what is going on in the stories of others’ lives. If God is present anywhere, it is in those stories that God is present. If God is not present in those stories, then they are scarcely worth telling." ~ Frederick Buechner

ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for the thoughtful Valentine! B was very excited to get mail on Valentine's Day! Snoopy is very popular in our house. :~)
DeleteHe's so cute!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lindsey! :~)
DeleteLove all the pictures! He is too cute. And I so want to get Levi one of those swings. I can't wait until next Valentine's Day when we can do more for him too. Lastly, (haha) how on earth do you read that many books in one month? I guess that's a silly question for a teacher. Hope his birthday party is awesome today. Sorry we can't be there to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nisa! We got that swing for super-cheap through Craigslist in New York just before we moved! As far as Valentine's Day goes, just remember that the important thing is that L feels loved and cherished. It's not about how much you do for him but how the time together is spent. B was just happy to be outside for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, milk in his new special cup, and to chase Mommy around the yard with the bubble wand. :~)
DeleteAs for your question: I love to read! It's my favorite way to decompress.
